I have just been informed that the press release about the merger of K9 and Live Arico had been sent out in haste and is not strictly correct. K9 and Live Arico are infact still in negotiation about becoming one organisation -
Please anybody who sends me a press release make sure all parties agree..
Tenerife dogs is not in the habit of telling porkie pies.

It would make sense for them to merge, don't you think? All the publicity effort and the individual support that each has, thrown in together, would be so much more effective.

Yes I agree in principal it makes sense combining the efforts and talents of both shelters..See what they decide at their next meeting..
ReplyDeleteA merger is agreed in principal, but we have to take things slowly, and bring our two distinct ways of working together.
ReplyDeleteA sticking point at the moment is that K9 do not have room for Live Aricos 200 dogs so physically speaking they cannot become one refuge at this moment in time. But, if we work together, little by little it could be a good thing in the long run.
